Anxiety and Depression
When Your Mind Won’t Settle and Everyday Life Feels Heavy
You replay a conversation long after it’s over. You think through every possible outcome before a decision, then wonder whether you chose wrong.
Even when nothing urgent is happening, relaxing feels out of reach.
Or the flatness shows up instead. The things you used to enjoy take effort, messages go unanswered, and small tasks pile up.
You’re working, parenting or going to school through all of it, wondering why you feel so far away from yourself. Parts of both experiences show up in the same week.

Find Clarity in What You’ve Been Experiencing
You don’t have to decide what to call it before you reach out.
We’ll talk about what you’ve been feeling, when it shows up, and what you do to get through it. I want to know your circumstances as well as your symptoms: the demands on you, your relationships, recent changes, and the support you have around you.
You tell yourself you should be grateful, or stronger, or more productive. We’ll look at that self-criticism honestly and ask whether it helps you do anything differently.
Therapy gives us room to take the struggle seriously and pick a starting point you can manage.
See What’s Keeping You Stuck
I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to look at how your thoughts, feelings and actions feed each other. We’ll trace the prediction that keeps you out of a conversation, the standard that makes an ordinary task impossible, or the withdrawal that’s left you more alone.
For anxiety, that means responding differently to uncertainty and questioning the predictions that run out ahead of you. It also means approaching the situations you’ve been avoiding, one step at a time.
We’ll choose those steps together and pay attention to what you learn from trying them.
For depression, we’ll begin by rebuilding a small amount of structure, connection, or meaningful activity. A plan has to account for the energy you have today, so we’ll review what was possible and adjust from there.

Get Support That Fits Your Needs
I work with adults and teens of all genders.
We’ll set goals around school or work demands, reconnecting with people, making decisions, or feeling present in your own day.
If a medical assessment, a medication consultation, or other support would help, we’ll talk about how that fits alongside therapy.
You Can Start Before You Feel Ready
Progress starts with answering one message, spending less time checking a decision you’ve already made, or saying what you need out loud.
We’ll look for the changes that make your daily life more manageable and keep building from there.

Loosen Your Grip on What You Can't Force
A grip loosens when somebody who can see your hands says so plainly. That's most of what happens here.
There's a version of the conversation with your son where nobody braces for it. A drive home where you walk in with something left. A bedtime that stops being a test.
You don't need to have it figured out before you start. The work asks two things: honesty in the room, and follow-through outside it.
Email me at dan@larrazintegrative.com, and we'll set up a consultation. Bring the version of the problem you'd normally keep to yourself.
