You Took Your Anger Out on the Wrong Person

Now You’re Worried You’ve Lost Their Trust

They Should Know What It All Costs

All day you absorb it. Other people’s pressure, other people’s deadlines, other people’s bad news.

You’re good at that. It’s most of why the job works.

Then you get home and it comes out sideways, on the people who were glad to see you.

You’re keeping a tally nobody else in the house can see.

The Worst of It Waits Until You’re Home

You keep telling yourself this next stretch is the hard one. After this, you’ll be able to relax/

You get through it. Something else moves into the slot.

The pressure has to go somewhere, and it goes where it costs you the most. Your living room, and the people standing in it.

They didn’t earn any of this, and they’re the ones living with it.

You’d take most of those evenings back if you could. That counts for something, and it’s the part of this I can work with.

Your Home Is Absorbing This for You – Get Started Today

You Can’t Fix This by Fixing Your Planner

You’ve been aiming at the wrong thing. Fewer fires, a better quarter, a stretch where nothing blows up.

Your week is never going to cooperate.

What moves is the space between the pressure and the reaction. We train that the same way you trained everything else you’re good at.

Enter the Dojo of Your Emotions

You’ll get my honest read on what’s happening, including the part you’re adding to it. Where you’re already getting it right, you’ll hear that too.

  • Catch the reaction while it’s still forming
  • Test the story you’re running before it decides for you
  • Say the hard thing at work instead of swallowing it
  • Keep a rough start at home from deciding the rest of the night
  • Decide what your ambition is actually for

Where You Start and Where This Goes

  1. See the Pattern Clearly

We map how pressure turns into anger, sarcasm, or silence at home, including the triggers you can already feel coming and the habits keeping it in motion.

Someone at home notices you saw it coming.

  2. Change What Happens Under Pressure

We put practical tools into the moments that decide how your night goes, and you practice saying what you mean instead of withdrawing or exploding.

Your wife stops checking your mood before she talks.

  3. Build a Better Version of Success

We make the changes hold, so ambition stops costing you the people you built it for, and being present at home stops being the thing you postpone.

Your family gets the version your colleagues get.

Why Trust Me as Your Partner in Healing

A Therapist Who Pushes Back

The disagreement is where this gets useful. You’ll hear it when something you’re telling me doesn’t hold up, and you’ll hear it when you’ve handled something well and talked yourself out of it.

Every Session Has a Job

You’ll leave each session with one thing to try, and that’s where we start when you come back.

Ambition Without the Collateral

The work aims at keeping the career you built without the people at home paying the difference for it.

Dan Larrazabal, LCSW

Hi, I’m Dan.

Boys and men are often expected to handle difficult things without being given the language, support, or space to work through them. That’s why I became a therapist, and why this work matters to me personally.

I’m Dan Larrazabal. I work with teen boys and young men ages 14 to 21, and with adult men whose stress is landing on the people at home.

You don’t have to arrive excited about therapy or know how to explain what’s happening. We start with what’s happening right now.

My approach is friendly, conversational, and direct. I won’t simply agree with everything you say, and I won’t overlook the progress you’re making. I’ll be honest about where you’re getting in your own way while helping you see where you’re doing well.

The fastest way to find out is to ask me. Email dan@larrazintegrative.com to schedule a consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Talk about it the way you’d brief a colleague and we’ll get somewhere useful. This runs like a working session, not a confessional.

I work with you individually, so I get your version and I take it seriously. I’ll also tell you where I think she has a point, because agreeing with everything you say would waste your time.

Depends which night you’re asking about. Sarcasm, silence, and the urge to be left alone run on the same pressure, so we work at the moment it arrives rather than the wreckage after.

You bring the week, we go back to the part of it that did the damage, and you leave with something to try before we meet again. Most of it runs in present tense: what happened this week, what you told yourself about it, and what you do next time.

Take the First Step Today

This is for men who run hard at work and don’t like who they’ve been at home lately.

The free consultation comes first. Tell me what’s been happening at home and I’ll tell you where I’d start, and if this turns out to be someone else’s work, I’ll point you there.

You built this for the people in it. That part still counts.

You’ve been absorbing all of it, and nobody has said so.
